Reforesting Kenya: Green World Schools
33 Bohemian, Green World Campaign Kenya, and our Green World Schools program believe children represent the future of forest management. We have come together under one goal of “planting in one generation for generations to come”. After participating in our program, children will learn to successfully raise trees from seeds to maturity, and understand the vital role trees play in our community’s survival. Children develop a sense of global citizenship and feel empowered as part of an international campaign to restore and care for the planet. Schools become incubators for a new civil society in Kenya, a civil society concerned about the welfare of their forests and capable of growing trees to replace those cut for firewood and timber.
